The Moors

By Jen Silverman

Production took place February 2022, at the University of Arkansas, featuring actors Sydney Antill, Leah Christenson, Alex Horn, Margaret Murie, Leah Smith, and Shayla Woolsey, with costumes by Callie Lythgoe with draping by Samanthe Burrow, Ripley DeCaluwe, and Valerie Hogan Lane, scenery by Beth Shambo and Karl Hermanson, props by Morgan McInnes, lighting by Austin Bomkamp, sound by Tyler Micheel, stage management by Huan Bui with assistant stage management by Allie Sorenson.

A note from the director:

Jen Silverman’s The Moors is a satirical comedy. It is a story of isolation, nature, vulnerability, and intimacy. The characters are flawed, (mostly) human, and trying to identify what it is that makes it all worth the struggle.  I can’t think of a better play than this one for this time we find ourselves in, emerging from two years of stillness, full of fear, questioning what the future holds.
